Drywall sanding and cutting produce dust fine enough to hang in the air for hours and settle on every surface, inside closed cabinets, and along every ledge in the house. Wipe it once and a fresh layer shows up the next morning.
That's why post-construction cleaning works in passes. The first pass removes debris and the heavy dust, working from ceilings and fixtures down to floors. The second pass is a detail clean: inside cabinets and drawers, trim, window frames, outlets, vents, and fixtures.
The final pass happens after the air has settled. Floors get cleaned again, glass is polished, and any dust that drifted down overnight is wiped away. Skip it, and the fine layer ends up on your furniture and in your lungs.
If you're renovating in Scarborough, Biddeford, or anywhere in Greater Portland, book the clean for after the last trade leaves, not before. Painters touching up trim or installers finishing hardware will stir the dust right back up.
