A regular clean maintains a home. On a weekly, biweekly, or monthly visit, the focus is on the rooms you use every day: kitchen counters and sink, stovetop, bathrooms, dusting, and floors. It keeps a clean home clean.
A deep clean goes after build-up. Baseboards, door frames, cabinet fronts, grout, light fixtures, ceiling fans, and window sills collect dust and grime slowly, and a maintenance visit isn't designed to reach them every time. A deep clean works room by room from top to bottom and covers all of it.
If it's been more than a couple of months since your home had a thorough clean, start with a deep clean. It brings everything up to a level that recurring visits can then hold, and those visits go faster and cost less as a result.
After that, pick a rhythm. Busy households with kids or pets usually do best weekly or biweekly. Smaller homes and tidy households often do well monthly, with a deep clean once or twice a year, like after a long Maine winter or before the holidays.
